The New Economy Initiative (NEI), in partnership with Model D Media, is excited to announce the Startup Story Night 2019: “Don’t Call It A Comeback” event!

Failure? What's that?! Just when it seemed like things were over ... Share YOUR story of taking your business from the brink to triumph over startup woes. Four lucky storytellers will have the opportunity to workshop their story with Shannon Cason - host, MainStage storyteller and GrandSlam champion with The Moth - and perform it in front of a live audience at The Marble Bar on Thursday, March 21, 2019.

Startup Story Night (SUSN) is a platform for entrepreneurs in Southeast Michigan to share their experiences in opening, owning and running their own businesses.

The process is simple: Local entrepreneurs submit their stories in line with the night’s theme. A selection committee carefully chooses four storytellers, who spend the weeks leading up to the big night working with the host to hone their stories for the live event. Previous themes include “That A-Ha Moment” and “Love What You Do”. The selection committee is generally made up of entrepreneurs and past storytellers of Startup Story Night.
